Instructor is Instinctor's website and booking product for anyone who teaches or coaches: music teachers, tutors, personal trainers, dance and yoga instructors, martial arts, art, driving, and any other lesson-based business. It gives a solo instructor a real, cinematic website with online lesson booking, a gallery, smart chat, reviews, and a dashboard, whatever the field.

    Instructor pricing (how much a lessons website costs)

    A lessons website on Instructor is free to start, and there are no per-booking fees and no commission, on any plan. When you are ready for online booking and text alerts, Pro is $29.90 a month (about a dollar a day). Here is what each plan costs:

    • Free: your full site, live at instinctor.com/your-name, yours to keep and edit. Students can send a lesson request. Smart chat is included and answers up to 30 questions a month.
    • Pro, $29.90/month (about $1 a day): students book a guaranteed lesson time online, 24/7. Includes deposits to hold a slot, automatic text reminders that cut no-shows, text alerts when someone books or messages, unlimited smart chat, and gift cards / lesson packs. Cancel any time.
    • Your own domain and hosting, +$14.90/month: move from

      • instinctor.com/your-name to your-name.com, hosted on the Instinctor server. The domain is part of the add-on; the owner never deals with a registrar.

    • Managed, $79.90/month: our team designs, launches and runs the whole site for you, with monthly SEO and a dedicated manager.

    Booking a lesson

    • On the free plan, the site shows a simple "Request a lesson" form. The request lands in your dashboard and you confirm it.
    • On Pro, students book a guaranteed lesson time themselves, day or night, straight from your real lessons and hours. Deposits hold the slot and automatic reminders cut no-shows.

    Smart chat on Instructor

    Smart chat is included on every plan, including free. It answers student questions on the site in your own voice, day and night, using your real lessons, prices and hours.

    • On the free plan, smart chat answers up to 30 questions a month. It is a per-instructor monthly allowance and it resets on the 1st.
    • On Pro, smart chat is unlimited.

    When a free instructor uses up the allowance, the chat widget stays on the site and students can still message you. Those messages land in your dashboard under Chats exactly as before. Nothing breaks, and no student ever sees an error or a "limit reached" message.

    You can see what smart chat did for you on your dashboard: how many questions it answered this month, how many leads it captured, and how much of the free allowance is left.

    Why there is a limit at all: every answer costs real money to generate, so the free allowance is what keeps smart chat sustainable on a free site while still letting every instructor see it work. Most instructors never reach 30 in a month.

    The dashboard

    Instructors manage everything from instinctor.com/dashboard: lesson bookings, students, photos, and settings. On a phone, sign in at instinctor.com/login with a magic link (no password).

    Class packs, credits, roster and check-in: the class engine

    Instructor is the only store type that turns on Services\ClassService, and it is the deepest engine in the family:

    • Weekly timetable: schedules that generate upcoming instances.
    • Enrolment and cancellation per instance, with a roster the instructor

      • can open.

    • Check-in for who actually turned up.
    • Class packs: credits granted, spent per booking, and checked before a

      • place is held (packCredits, usePackCredit, grantPack).

    • Drop-ins as a one-off order for somebody who has no pack.
    • Access resolution that decides whether a membership, a pack or a payment

      • covers the booking, plus a weekly booked-count guard.

    Bookings are labelled Classes and the Schedule surface is unique to this store type.

    Known gap worth naming

    The instructor master ships a plain booking block and a price list. The pack, roster and check-in machinery has no presence on the site the customer sees, so an owner has to be told it exists rather than discovering it.

    What Instructor does NOT have

    No payments beyond the standard Stripe checkout: no instructor payouts, no revenue splits. No video hosting or on-demand library. No attendance reporting beyond the roster and check-in. No integration with Mindbody, Glofox or Zen Planner; the comparison pages argue against them, they do not connect.
